|Join the global movement and take part in an international experience. All around the world concerned citizens will March for Science on 14 April 2018. In South Africa, we are marching here, in Durban!
The event will see leading academics, scientists, researchers, students, civil societies and the general public rally together to highlight and celebrate the strides made towards science. UKZN has made laudable contributions in all spheres of science that has contributed to discoveries and improving lives in Africa and globally. The March provides the opportunity for people from all walks of life to highlight the impact that science has on societies. This is the second instalment of a highly successful campaign, where in 2017, over one million global citizens gathered in response to the call for science advocacy. Now in 2018, more than 175 satellite events around the world have already registered to participate in this 2nd annual commemoration.
The March with start at City Hall and conclude at Gugu Dlamini Park in the Durban CBD, where a series of events are planned. It promises to be both an informative and fun day.
