UKZN alumnus, former Idols top 16 contestant, East Coast Radio presenter and musician, Ms Minenhle Ntuli features on South Africa’s new hit song Imbokodo, the opening track of House DJ Prince Kaybee’s Crossover Music Extended Play (EP).

‘The track is highly impactful and deals with an issue that is relevant at this time in South Africa where women need to reach out and achieve their dreams no matter what,’ she said.

Kaybee was on the lookout for a female vocalist and a friend introduced Ntuli to him. ‘Kaybee is like a big brother, he encourages, supports and motivates me all the time,’ said Ntuli.

She also features as a chef in another of his music videos called Fetch your Life featuring Msaki. The video portrays women in different scenarios confronting their challenges head on, never giving up, and ultimately achieving their goals. ‘Playing a chef in the video pays homage to my time on My Kitchen Rules SA. I loved being part of this video because it celebrates the power and determination of women. It has a strong message to never give up,’ she added.

Speaking about joining East Coast Radio this month, Ntuli said she has to pinch herself every day to make sure it’s not a dream, ‘I’m so excited about the growth that lies ahead. Many people have contributed to where my career is now and their support is truly heartfelt. Don’t ever forget that your dreams are valid.’

Catch Ntuli and UKZN alumnus Ms Nomthandazo Xaba on Saturdays and Sundays from 3am-6am on East Coast Radio.
