The University of KwaZulu-Natal  (UKZN) is located in the picturesque province of KwaZulu-Natal. It is a teaching and research-led university with a proud and rich heritage of academic excellence. Inyuvesi yakwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) itholakala esifundazweni esihle saKwaZulu-Natali. Iyinyuvesi egxile kwezicwaningo nasekufundiseni kanti futhi iyaziqhenya ngomlando onothile wokuba ngungqaphambili kwezokufunda. Ngonyaka wezi-2010 isifundazwe sethu sasibungaza iminyaka eyikhulu yeMfundo Ephakeme- ikhulunyaka lezokufunda, izindlela ezintsha zokwenza izinto kanye nokuxhumana nomphakathi. E-UKZN sinentshisekelo ngokufunda nokufundisa. Isiqubulo sethu : Wonke Umfundi Ubalulekile, sitholakala kuyo yonke imikhakha uma kukhulunywa ngezenhlalo, amasiko, nezokufunda. Inyuvesi igqugquzela futhi iyakwamukela okwehlukahlukana kwezinhlangothini zonke zempilo yomfundi. I-UKZN iyinyuvesi yomphakathi ewuhlobo olwakhelwe phezu kwamakolishi. Amakolishi mane anemikhakha emibili ngalinye anikeza izifundo ezinhlobonhlobo kwezabaneziqu kanye nabangenazo kumakhempasi amahlanu : iEdgewood, Howard College, Medical School, Pietermaritzburg kanye neWestville.

I-UKZN inezinhlelo zokufunda ezintsha zeziqu ezigunyaziwe ngokufunda nokufundisa okusezingeni eliphezulu. Ucwaningo lwenziwa emalebhu kanokusho atholakala emikhakheni yezemvelo, ezempilo ngemvelo, ezoluntu kanye nezenhlalo yomphakathi. Ngaphezulu kwalokho, i-UKZN  inikeza ithuba lokubamba iqhaza kwezemidlalo nezamasiko.

Inyuvesi igqugquzela ukutholakala kwamathuba okufunda okukhulisa amathuba kwezemfundo kanye nokuthola umsebenzi kwababencishiwe amathuba ngaphambilini. Inyuvesi yesekela  ukuguquka nokulungisa okuhlose ukunikeza abafundi indawo eqinisekisa ukuthuthuka ngolwazi, ukwazi ngokunikela emphakathini kanye nokuziphatha ngobulungiswa emphakathini wethu.
