25th Durban International Film Festival : 14-27 June The festival celebrated its 25 th anniversary with over 250 screenings of top films from around the world, including special reflections on 10 years of democracy in South Africa . Most of the films were premiere showings in this country. The festival also offered seminars and workshops featuring local and international filmmakers. The programme included screenings in township areas where cinemas are non-existent.
